Our mission is to promote the advancement of quality welding in the industry and to teach welding to those who are interested. We pride ourselves in offering our students a program and environment in which they can learn different welding processes and develop their skills to meet industrial standards.

Lab Facilities

Akron Testing Laboratory and Welding School is located at 1171 Wooster Road, N., Barberton, Ohio 44203.

The school's facilities include the main office, director's office, instructor's office, two (2) restrooms, welding areas for Electric Arc, Oxyacetylene, T.I.G., and M.I.G., testing lab and office, as well as, an area set aside for storage of student and welding supplies. The equipment used in instruction includes:

24 Arc Machines
12 M.I.G. Machines
12 T.I.G. Machines
24 Oxyacetylene Booths
Grinding Equipment
Torch Cutting Equipment
Two (2) 600 amp F.C.A.W.
One (1) Plasma Cutter
Three (3) Line Burners
Three (3) Pipe Bevelers

Student parking is available at the school.

Emergency

Students are expected to become familiar with all fire and other emergency evacuation routes and procedures. Evacuation routes are diagrammed and posted in all areas. The locations of fire extinguishers are also shown. First-aid kits are in instructor's offices. A discussion of emergency procedures is conducted during class orientation.

All cases of illness or injury to a student should be promptly reported to the instructor or to the School's director.
